Map Kml Tools processes all GIS files directly in your browser. We never upload or store your spatial data, ensuring complete privacy.
Information We Collect
- Account information: Name, email, date of birth, gender, and country (only if you create an account)
- Anonymous analytics: Page views, referrer URLs, device type, browser, and country (via Umami — cookie-free, privacy-first)
- Form submissions: Feature requests and contact form messages
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Uploaded GIS files (KML, KMZ, GeoJSON, CSV, Shapefile) — these are processed entirely in your browser
- Coordinates, geometry, or location data from your files
- IP addresses for tracking purposes (our analytics tool does not store IPs)
- Browsing history across other websites
Analytics & Cookies
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool. It collects aggregate, anonymous data (page views, referrers, device types) without using cookies, fingerprinting, or collecting personal data.
We use minimal essential cookies for:
- Authentication: Firebase session cookies when you log in
- Consent preferences: Stored in localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your choice
Advertising & Google AdSense

Third-Party Services
We use the following services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google AdSense — Advertising network and CMP (Consent Management Platform)
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication and database
- Umami — Privacy-friendly web analytics
- OpenElevation — Elevation data API
- OpenStreetMap — Map tile providers
- ipapi.co — Country detection for EU consent (IP is not stored)
Data Security
We use Firebase's enterprise-grade security for data storage and authentication. All data transfers are encrypted via HTTPS. GIS files are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.
